December has been an incredible, and incredibly busy, month! I honestly can’t believe that I fit all of this into December.
We started with a trip to Monroe, Louisiana for Mister Louisiana USofA MI and Miss Louisiana USofA Diva! Jax Hannigan and Rayvn Noir Downe invited us all to “be their guest” as they crowned the next. Their Beauty and the Beast themed opening was even complete with a broom that moved on it’s own! We had two young men show up to compete for Jax’s title – Oliver Hart and Roman Syder! Oliver won the title, and both he and Roman will be headed to Ohio in March. Two boys making their very first trip to nationals! It’s so exciting to see how many new kings are jumping in this year and joining the family. We are still growing!
The following weekend brought a trip to Springfield, Missouri, for a triple crowning (Mister USofA MI, Mister USofA MI Classic, and Miss USofA Diva), and FIVE in- credible contestants vying for the title of Mister Missouri USofA MI. The talent competition that night was just wonderful and full of variety, including stand-up comedy, mime, roller skates, and Damian Matrix doing jazz hands! At the end of the night, the hometown boy, Phoenixx LaFaye, took the crown. Shire Paige (1st Alternate) and Bastian Cox (2nd Alternate) also won their spots to compete in March.
Four days after Missouri, my partner and I loaded up the car again and headed to Nashville for Mister Tennessee USofA MI.
I hope that this season of love and thankfulness brings some joy to each of you. Personally, I have a love/hate relationship with this season. I LOVE all the food! But it also means I have to spend some extra time at the gym. In case you were curious, food is definitely the way to my heart.
November has been another busy month. We kicked it off with Southern States held in Arkansas. I was the last title holder for it, so with picking the theme of Gotham, I planned a fun Batman villain opening number with Valentino and Victoria. We had a blast! Lucas Prescott came out as the winner, with Jack Rabid as his 1st Alternate.
The next stop was Texas, and what a great pageant it was! Bastian Cox worked his butt off over the last year, and they had 4 incredible competitors vying for the MI title. It was also the first triple crowning for MI, Classic, and Diva in one night! Their hometown boy, Benja- min Dover, was crowned the winner, and Tucker Downtown traveled all the way from Oklahoma to earn his 1st Alternate spot and a ticket to nationals.
My final November trip was to Evansville, Indiana. I was so excited to finally work with Jody and Tiffani! Xander Havoc also had 4 boys jump in to compete for Mister Indiana, and let me tell you, the evening wears that night were all gorgeous! It was a stiff competition for sure. At the end of the night, Alik Muf emerged victorious with his home state title. Shane Anigans placed 1st Alternate.
The list of qualified contestants is growing quickly, and time is slipping away faster and faster. December will bring me to Louisiana, Missouri, and Tennessee, to add 6 more people to the list. For those who have qualified now is the time to make a list and start checking it twice! Continue reading Abs-olutely! – December Edition→
October has been an incredible month! Extremely busy, but I’ve definitely gotten more of a taste of title holder life. It only goes by faster from here!
First, let me update you on the epic events from this month. I got the first two weeks off from traveling and drag completely and was able to spend time at home with my partner, and catch up on my piles of laundry, as well as a little costume creating. The first big event of the month was Mister Georgia USofA MI and Mister Georgia USofA MI Classic. Valentino and I went on a whirlwind 24-hour trip to Atlanta. Thanks to Owen McCord and Devin Liquor for putting on a wonderful pageant, and ensuring Val and I made it safely to and from our amazing hotel! Also, congratulations to your new Mister Georgia USofA MI, Jordan Michaels McCord, and his 1 st Alternate Hawk Taylor! The Classic boys also put on a wonderful show, with Syr Kam’ron taking the title, and Rocky Valentino winning 1 st Alternate. #teamPeach will not be playing this year, folks, so get ready for a show!
About 4 days after arriving back in Little Rock, the Royal Couple and I headed for Dallas to attend final night of the Mr. Gay USofA Contest. We got to be a part of Michael LaMasters’ opening number, and enjoy the incredible competition that night. Congratulations to Desi Andrews on capturing the title and joining the court for the year! We did not get to attend Mr. Gay USofA at Large earlier in the week, but again, a huge congrats to Kane Connors on his year, and a big welcome to the family to Dakota Whitney (his costumes are everything)!
After crowning, we turned right around and headed back to Little Rock for the Mister Arkansas USofA MI prelim. The competition that night was incredible. I was so proud of all 3 boys, I wanted to cry watching them leave their hearts on the stage. Marco Del Gatto made the decision to send all 3 MI boys to nationals, with D’angelo as your new Mister Arkansas USofA MI, Chase Sky as 1 st Alternate, and Scrappy as 2 nd Alternate! In an awesome turn of events, the outgoing Mister Arkansas, Beau Davis, had a family member compete for the classic division his own mother. Luke Davis ended up winning the title of Mister Arkansas USofA MI Classic on his first time ON THE STAGE. With Beau already qualified for nationals as this year’s 1 st Alternate, we may have our first parent and child competing together in Ohio. Continue reading Abs-olutely! – November Edition→
I am so excited to write this article for this month. Not only is October one of my favorite months (fall, hoodies, Halloween), but MI state prelims have FINALLY started!
Our first prelim of the season, Mister Oklahoma USofA MI was held September 18 at Club Majestic in Tulsa. D’angelo had a great stepdown, with a great vampire-themed opening production. He had 8 contestants who all brought their A-game. Several of the boys were new to pageantry, and I was so impressed with everyone. Huge congratulations to the winner, Miles Long, and his 1st Alternate, Spacee Kadett! The first two to earn their spot at nationals in March.
I would also like to congratulate Valentino Rios on stepping down as the first Mister Oklahoma USofA MI Classic! He had 3 contestants compete, and congrats to King Mykal Khrystian on winning the title and his spot to nationals! Also congrats to his 1st Alternate, Jesy Hurricane Savage. Both are also on their way to nationals in March!
The end of September, I was able to attend final night of Miss Gay USofA At Large in Ohio. It was wonderful to be able to be there to celebrate Ka’aliyah’s year, and to be able to congratulate Sasha Lauren as she achieved her dream of winning the crown. Thank you to Jeremy Burnette and Darryl Kent for having me!
After the pageant, I traveled with the Rios’s over to Dayton to spend some time with one of our promoters, Devin. We had a much needed day of rest, just spending time together with the zoo of animals at Devin & Gage’s house, and eating some great food! Continue reading Abs-olutely! – October Edition→
